What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a healthcare discipline that emphasises the innate recuperative ability of the body to heal itself without the use of drugs or surgery. It focuses on the relationship between structure (primarily the spine) and function (as coordinated by the nervous system) and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health.

Chiropractors primarily use manual adjustments to treat disorders of the musculoskeletal system, particularly conditions relating to the spine. By correcting these structural issues, chiropractic adjustments enhance the body’s natural ability to heal and maintain optimal function.
